I extend my warm wishes to China Indian Community (CIC), Shanghai on the occasion of the launch of their official WeChat account. Shanghai being the financial hub of China has always had a vibrant Indian Community including Indian businesses and Indian professionals working in multinational companies. With the emergence of new challenges like Covid-19 pandemic, which has disrupted ordinary lives and global supply chains equally, Indian community in Shanghai, including Indian businesses, needs to have its own representational body that can effectively raise both policy and people issues with both the Governments of India and China collectively. I hope CIC will be able to play this role and earn the trust of the community.
